Anju TECHNICALLY has the hots for Oshtor, she's had the hots for him since well forever, Haku is more of a friend... an uncle you could say wink wink, nudge nudge.

One of the moments I wanted to see from this season, the revelation between Haku and Oshtor's mother... and man, what an emotional rollercoaster, it hit really hard in the game but seeing the scene finally animated was really good and conveyed the feelings quite well.

This was a really great episode overall, especially because not only Oshtor's mother knows the truth but also Rulutieh managed to hear everything as well... and what a good cinnamon bun she is, as she quickly understood and stayed to support Haku no matter what.

So yeah, I'm pretty hyped for the next episodes and I do hope the battles are epic, we're about to enter some intense arcs so let's see if this season delivers.

I was mostly angry and confused for the fact that they cut off the Vurai battle because it was meant to be Nekone's arc. But then I remember that they killed off Vurai last season. I'm guessing they're saving that moment for Mikazuchi fight.
Damn, the mother's embrace scene still makes me teared up no matter what media it is. Glad the studio did the scene justice.

The Vurai thing has always felt like a shoe in, you see how the story was literally unaffected by him not showing up? I'm sad they cut out Nekone's development but it literally could've happened without Vurai and that wierd girl with daddy issues that was never really developed.

The scene with Haku and Oshtor's mother is easily the best scene we have gotten from this particular Utawarerumono series. I felt like a lot of this particular series has been slice of life driven with a bit of political maneuverings and action thrown in, but that scene in particular had meaning and impact.

Scene with the mother went as I thought it would. Pretty close to the game. Just wish the little confrontation with Rulutieh and Oshtor wasn't changed. To me, the one in the game had more "impact"

No Vurai fight means no Akuruka fight, which makes it really weird as how he will overused the power of Akuruka. In the anime we've seen Haku only used Akuruka once.

There was 2 other times he used it's power but not enough to transform & a couple other times it's powers started waking up on it's own. I think part of the reason is because he is a True Human that dawned the Mask so he will become something almost like the Original Hakuro from the first Series.

Well, i've completed all 3 games, he shouldn't exhaust his power to this extent as long as he did not transform. That's why Vurai & Mikazuchi plays a big role in exhausting his power and burning his life away. And no, he won't become like the original Hakuro, the mask Haku's wearing is a copy made based on Hakuoro's original mask. He is a human and that's why the mask stick to his face because the mask only connects itself to the nerve of a human for safety issues, it was mentioned in the game. Lastly, he is not becoming like the Original Hakuro because he did turned to salt and died. But he resurrected after accepted his mask and all of Hakuoro's power as a god.

While sad, the Vurai fight isn't that necessary, but considering how Oshtor 1v1 Rulutieh's sister, he will likely transform against the false mask used by Raiko, to make up for it
